What would be the criteria of a rock band that will appeal to most Filipinos? We’re talking about most Pinoys who have a sweet tooth for pop culture here.  The middle-karaoke-loving-all-age demographic.  Hands down, Hotdog, VST and company Eraserheads, Parokya ni Edgar on one hand.  Side A, Afterimage, Bamboo, Color it Red, Barbie’s Cradle, The Dawn on the other.  Basically this criteria seem to appeal to the pop sensibilities of Pinoy culture:

• a band must be fun/funny

PAGCOR entertainment presents the Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Shane Mosley bout titled “Who Are You Picking?” live via satellite. This is all for FREE in all of the PAGCOR Metro Manila branches (Heritage, Hyatt, Pavilion, Paranaque) on May 2, 9:00a.m.

This is, quite possibly, a slugfest highly anticipated by most Filipino fight fans that don’t involve Manny Pacquiao or any of the current Filipino ring greats. Floyd Mayweather Jr., easily the country’s number one boxing villain, squares off with the hard-hitting Shane Mosley. They are numbers two (2) and three (3) on the pound for pound ratings lorded over by local hero from Saranggani, Manny Pacquiao.
